Christmas Gifts, Part Two
I'm actually a bit confused with the update numbering, but oh well, the holidays are just around the corner.
I'll start with some great news. Dreamworld Pogie will finally be finished by Michael Flash Ware, and all lucky KS1 owners will receive it for free. I hope those who got their hands on a new computer later will also be able to try this wonderful platformer.

In retrospect, I remember one of the KS3 updates mentioned a 3D game engine developed by the legendary Sarah Jane Avory. She worked at Core Design and has many wonderful Spectrum games to her credit. It turns out progress doesn't stand still, and the game is now being in play compared to No Man's Sky. The space portion of the game is very reminiscent of Elite, but what the space pilot will do on the surface is still unknown. Yes, the game will be called Delphian.

Next Game Designer by Ben Emanuel is an ambitious new project with a telling name. I haven't had much time to experiment with it, but you can download a couple of executables from the repository. The assembly one looks pretty animated. We'll keep an eye on this project.

Today I processed Next Magazine #11 (and a little earlier, Nextra #12) and added 20 new entries to the ratings section. Incidentally, this is the second time I've been mentioned in the magazine, although there's nothing to be proud of yet. The database is somewhere in the middle of its progress, and I'm completely behind schedule, as I've also taken on the task of restoring the BASIC examples, a project that's taking up a lot of my time. By the way, we have some very interesting new content coming soon. Subscribe to stay up to date with the latest news.

Finally, if you want to run Atic Atac in an emulator, the only working solution at the moment is ZEsarUX. You don't even need to prepare a memory card; everything is described in the emulator's FAQ (thanks to César Hernández Bañó):
- Q: I can't run Atic Atac for Spectrum Next. I get the error "SDHC OR BETTER REQUIRED."
- A: You must enable Storage->SD/MMC->Enable SDHC addressing. Then, use Smartload to run the aticatac.nex file.

I wish everyone a good weekend.
